Wow! Week one Of the Vues Frum summer baseball league was a smashing, out of the park success!! What a great sight to see!! There was a total of four games played, two on Monday and two on Wednesday. It was great to see the Achdus, and sportsman ship all the Vues baseball league boys displayed!

Many parents were at the games watching their children play.  New Friendships were created as Teammates got to know each other. The long summer afternoons are being spent wisely by “Bli aayin hora” almost Forty boys!! The following is a short recap of how the games went.

Monday – July 5

Srulis music! Dragons took an early lead When Moshe Azancot  hit a huge Two Run Homer. The game was Very quickly tied by the Photo factory Hurricanes. The lead kept on changing hands throughout the game. In the eighth inning, Srulis music’s Yehuda Ben Menachem retied the game with a clutch single over third. In extra innings with two outs and down by one, Photo factory’s  Zecharia Greenfeld Tied the game with  base hit to center field!---- Final score---- Tie game

Elcom communication Dynamite led Duddys Electronics lightening throughout this game. The lightening did make it close when Yehuda Kesherim Hit a home run. The Dynamite’s Raffi seraf put the game out of reach with a home run blast of his own. ----Final score----- Elcom communication Dynamite 9

Wednesday July 7

Srulis music! Dragons took a 1-0 lead When Yosef Eliav‘s Great base running allowed him to score on Moshe Azancot’s two out single. That was it for the dragons scoring.

Stellar defense by Elcom communications Dynamite coupled with timely hits by Eli Tornheim, Tzvi Dayan, and Ushi Schwartz gave the Dynamite their second win of the season

After losing their first game on Monday, Duddys electronics lightening Stormed back on Wednesday by way of a huge victory over the Photo factory hurricanes. Photo factory was missing two of their players due to a simcha in the Bacon family. Mazel tov!! The lightening poured in fifteen runs. Two sets of brothers ---- Dovid Rosenberg, Eli Rosenberg, Yehoshua Kesherim and Yehuda Kesherim had two RBI’s a piece!  For the hurricanes, Avraham Dovid Minkowitz went five for five with two doubles. Shalom Oster had two Runs batted in.

Week two for the Vues Frum Summer base ball league was wet and muddy. Monday’s games were washed away by a severe rain storm!

On Wednesday, the sky was not looking any friendlier then on Monday. Nevertheless, many boys showed spirit as they came to play, hoping to squeeze in a game before the imminent downpour. The choose-up game was played for about an hour, when suddenly, loud rumbling thunder got everybody’s attention. The game was stopped just in the nick of time! Less then five minutes after the last pitch was thrown, the rain started full blast, thoroughly drenching all those who had not reached shelter [myself included!]

The good news is that this weeks games will not only be Monday and Wednesday but Tuesday as well!

Week Three

      What an awesome week of baseball for the Vues Frum Summer Baseball league!!

There were eight games played!!!  The standings have evolved to the current close pennant race!!

Monday

Photo factory hurricanes VS Elcom communications Dynamite.  Hillel Bacons all around clutch playing lead Photo Factory to victory. Shalom Oster and A.D Minkowitz both had RBI’s. and  Garry Younger flashed some fancy leather - doubling up the dynamite, ensuring the victory the hurricanes victory

Srulis music! Dragons dominated Duddys electronics lightening rods throughout the game. Yosef Eliav had 4 RBI’s and a home run! Benny steinberg had 3 hits, coupled with stellar defense at shortstop. The Rosenberg Brothers combine for 7 hits, wow! Yehoshua Kesharim had 3 RBI’s in the loosing cause. Eli Tovey   lined 3 hits in the lightenings loosing cause.

                                                                   Tuesday

Srulis Music! Dragons Beat Photo factory Hurricanes in a come from behind effort. Moshe Azancots game winning RBI gave the Dragons the victory. Gershon Rabinowitz powered the Dragons with 3 hits including a triple. Dovid Liff was unstoppable offensively, and carried the team with great first base play. Avi Goldstein Helped the hurricanes with 2 hits and an RBI. The Minkowitz brothers combined for four hits. The cousins combo, Hillel Bacon and Zecharia Greenfield combined for six hits and three RBI’s

Elcom communications Dynamite Beat Duddys electronics Lightening 9-2.  Elcoms Rafi Seraf, and Tzvi Dayan were hard to stop. Uri sylverstein  led the hit parade with 3 hits.

                                                                      Wednesday

In a ten inning thriller, Duddys Electronics lightening beat Photo Factory Hurricanes 2-1

A game saving play by Hillel Bacon on a shot blasted by Yehoshua Kesharim sent the game into extras. The game winning run was produced by Meir Hirsch, scoring Eli Tovi to win the game.  Aryeh Mahana had an RBI. Shalom Bondar had 2 hits

In an epic battle, Srulis Music! Dragons Beat Elcom communications Dynamite in ten innings. Shmuel  “The Tank” Sherman led the dynamite with 4 hits and 2 RBI’s. The schwartz brothers were constantly on base. Uri sylverstein had a single double and a triple! The Dragons, however, proved to be a little better! Aaron Stern had a big game.  Dovid Liff, Benny Steinberg  and Moshe Azancot Were Offensive Juggernauts as the Dragons won its third game of the week.
