Another fantastic week of the Vues Frum Summer baseball league has passed.
This week, we all enjoyed Pizza day. Pizza and French Fries were ordered from the best pizza shop in Flatbush- Pizza World. Here are this weeks highlights-
Monday

F Pharmacy vs. Totally Toys
Totally Toys began this game with outstanding offensive production, scoring two runs
in the top of the first. Moshe Kahn provided the power with a booming triple for
Totally Toys.
[League members, mention the Totally Toys team at the store on K and Coney Island, and get 10% off all merchandise!!] After that, Yonaton Meiri knocked in another run with an RBI single. Avenue F Pharmacy started its engine in the third inning, and from that
point and on, crushed their opponent. Shimshy Stillman made a spectacular catch
in the seventh inning. Doniel Yugowitz played an excellent game as well.

wireless vs. Porges Bakery
Saul Braha has a habit of leading games off with hits. Shortly after his leadoff base hit, Sauls’ brother Abie, delivered an RBI single. This gave Porges Bakery [by far the best
bakery in town, on the corner of Avenue k and Coney Island] a 1-0 lead. Cingular wireless powered its
way back to take the lead. Great play by the Scheff clan [Yitzy Ari, and Yossi ] secured another victory for Porges bakery.
For Cingular wireless, David Rishty and Pinchas Pernikof were constantly getting
on base. Elie Lefkowitz turned a spectacular double play in the seventh inning.

Wednesday
Totally Toys Vs Porgess Bakery
In this game, the “Totally Toys boys” came to play hoping their first victory of the
season. They quickly took what seemed to be a stranglehold lead on Porges Bakery 9-1. Meir Sicker had a whopping three RBI’s and a triple. For Totally Toys, Eliezer Kahn had another multi hit game. Opponents can’t seem to get
Eliezer out. Jordan Eidlisz had a huge bases loaded walk. On the Porges Bakery side, another fantastic
and unlikely comeback was in store. Jason Helrich played well. Elie kornfeld had three hits and Yuda Frankel played stellar defense.
Tied at 9 all, Elie Lefkowitz gave Porges Bakery the 11-9 lead with a super clutch
2 run Triple [that ball is still flying…].Thanks to Meir Sicker and Jeffrey Younger, Totally Toys came clawing its way back -tying
the score at 11-11

On Wednesday night, due to the scheduling of certain day camps, many boys were
unable to attend. To prevent this from happening again this week, the league staff has arranged for an alternate league schedule

F Pharmacy Vs Cingular Wireless
This game was close until the end. With Cingular wireless hanging on to a 3-2 lead,
both offenses suddenly came alive. Avenue F Pharmacy started
scoring runs as if it were going out of style. Eli Reich crushed, and I mean CRUSHED
a long double. Not to be outdone, Avi Schnieder walloped a screaming line drive
over the Cingular
Wireless second baseman- and into deep center field. In the sixth inning with the game knotted at four, Cingular
wireless’s Aron Braun launched a booming triple. Pinchos Pernikof had a great, crowd pleasing catch. Gershon Muller
kept his long batting streak alive.

This past week, the league enjoyed
nice weather and was able to get all the games in Marine Park was jammed with “The Vues” Frum Summer Baseball league Boys. All the
games were great. In every game the boys showed respect and sportsmanship to their teammates and opponents alike. Parents

The game was very close. Shloimy Liff on the Glaat Zone team hit a monster homerun. With the
score tied at four, Chaim Bokchin hit a long two RBI double giving Argamon the 6-4 win! (mention the score at Glaat

Another game with a 6-4 final score! The absolutely
amazing backwards catch by Ayael Goldberg along with the Super Slugging and defense

This game was an offensive show right from
the start. In the first inning Totally Toys star, Yukisiel Blatter hit a towering Homerun to left Field. By the fourth inning Porges
Bakery was trailing 3-2. Porges bakery soon came roaring back. Eli Kornfeld had three hits and a couple of RBI. Tzvi Kiss had multiple
hits as well, leading his team to the high scoring victory (mention the score at Totally toys and get a 10% discount!!)

In this game boy was Glaat Zone cooking!! Everybody played great as they crushed Leather Traditions 13-4. Zack Grodko Of the Leather Traditions team Hit a nice Tripple and played out standing defense. On the Glaat Zone team, Dovid and Eli Rosenberg had big games. Shloimy Liff hit his second homerun of the season.

Braha led off the game with a home run for Porges Bakery. Things were looking

Italian Clothing Vs Pizza World
Moshe
Azancott, last years league MVP came back and promptly hit a huge homerun giving Argaman
the lead for good. Yehuda Tzvi Cizma
was constantly on base, and Yisroel Dov Goldstien hit a long double. For Pizza World, Elchonon Bartfield had a solid game. The Peretz boys
and the Gaiger brothers fought hard in what turned out to be a pizza world loss.

Wireless Vs Totally Toys
This game came down to the wire! The game ended
with the bases loaded with the tying run on third! Cingular Wireless on Coney had
many stars. Moshe Yaakov Braun went
two for two. He hit a power shot home run. He then connected for a double for a total of three RBIs. G
Muller also had a monster game bashing both a double and a triple resulting in two RBIs .Totally Toys played very well. Eliezer Kahn hit a whopping two Homeruns!
Down 7-4 in the top of the ninth, Totally Toys came storming back to make it 7-6! The game ended with the tying run on third
with two outs.

Welcome back to the “VUES FRUM SUMMER BASEBALL LEAGUE!”. Baruch Hashem our league has swelled to over eighty boys! That’s
right, over 80 boys come to play baseball in a frum environment every Monday and Wednesday after day camp. The Vues weekly
Magazine, is the driving force behind this community oriented project. The games
are played at Marine Park.
Parents enjoy watching their children have a great time throughout the course of the summer.
The league founders Noach, Sruli and Tzvi,
marvel at the speed at which the league has grown over the past two summers. The following quote by league founder Sruli Sums
up what has been a speedy rise up the ladder of success: “A good idea only
a short fourteen Months ago has now become a focal point in the summer experience for many families in our community”
Our First Game back took place this
past Wednesday. Amidst an occasional thunder crash and a slowly accelerating wind,
League members were assigned teams. From the first Moment, our great staff made all the boys feel right at home. The games
were underway for approximately forty five minutes before the rain came. It began pouring as hard as you can imagine!! It
rained so hard that in moments everybody got soaked! League and Staff all scattered of the field to find whatever shelter
they could. Although the games were washed away early, everybody had a smile on their face. League members were overheard
saying things such as “This is so much fun!” and “I can’t wait until Monday!” They Boys Baruch
Hashem are thrilled to be part of the amazing VUES FRUM SUMMER BASEBALL LEAGUE.
